G'day all, Quick question. I'm considering applying for the 2011 Bachelor of Aviation course here at Swinburne University in Melbourne. Is there anyone here who has had ANY experience with the course? i.e. past/present students, graduates, teachers or industry professionals? Any information would be greatly appreciated. It's quite a commitment for a $100K+ course, and I'm trying to gather any information which will aid in making my overall decision. Cheers

Certainly is interesting, thanks for posting. Also to condsider. What is the overall workload like? I understand that in the first year you spend two days at Swinburne (Hawthorn) covering the academic units of the course, and 3 days flight training at OAA (Moorabbin). How 'full on' is it? What are the contact hours, both academic units and flight training, and how does it affect you? Has anyone studied any elective units, in addition to the practicum units? Also, does anyone have access or knowledge to the destination data of graduates? Where in the world do they end up?

Contact hours are around 48 hours per week - so yes, quite full on!

I did master degree in Air Transportation Management at Swinburne Uni. This program is part time load so I can work and study at the same time. You may call uni to get more info about your cousre. There are lots of friendly professional staff.
