Hi everyone

Just wanted to see if anyone out there has any advice on getting an initial flying instructor job in Australia?

What is the job situation like in Australia for instructors at the moment?

Guessing its difficult to get someone to take you on while under supervision, but any good advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best tip-
LEARN THE AUSTRALIAN RULES.

There are subtle differences between the Aust and NZ regs.
If you're going to teach, teach the correct ones.:ok:

And get a NVFR. You can't teach it unless you hold it.

Highly experienced instructors are getting laid off. There is a ridiculous amount of unemployed instructors around. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your help guys. Yeah I thought this would be the response I would get, but hey it helps to put it out there. Pretty fustrating after spending all that money learning to become an instructor and then nothing happens.

Would you all think that there is more chance of getting charter work and the moment ( eg... going out bush). Than there is finding an instructor gig?
