I have recently moved from New Zealand to Australia, and the aero club I went to had a Technam P92. They have two aeroclubs in the area one with a C172 and a C152 and cherokees the technam is cheaper, is it worth doing P.I.C time in the technam rather than the other single engine planes?

If you want to fly only for fun, or the occasional trip, then go the Tecnam, if your looking to go CPL and make flying a career, then the VH rego stuff. unless of course the Tecnam is VH reg.

Ensure that you do have a reasonable amount of time in a useful Cessna single, eg 172 / 182 / 210 / 206 in your logbook when it comes time to go door knocking for that job.
I've flown on both sides of the Tasman and found that generally employers in Oz like to see time in logbook on aircraft that they are employing you to fly, more so than in NZ.
Ultimately though, if you already have the above then go for the best value for money; hours are hours!
