The place I stayed while studying in Brisbane was in Ascot but it is more student housing . Most where young people and some where studying out at Aviation Australia. Engineers and Hosties (nice) . Very close to the ferry , bus , shops and train

There was a motel in Doomben which catered to long term people but some of the residents where a bit dodgy looking . Call them for the long term rates.
