I have a booking to go to Nice in early October on BA. On trying to book seat 1C, it tells me that this is an emergency exit row seat, and the aircraft is an A320. I have not had this before when booking 1C on an A320 - does anyone know if this is something new, or is the site making a mistake? I'm going to Sweden in August - assuming BAA aren't on strike - on an A320 and that has allowed me 1C.

Coming back from Nice is an A319 which doesn't have this problem.

I have had this happen to me on an A320 booking in row 1.

I believe it is just down to a mistake on the BA website.

Row 1 is a bulkhead row and has the same rules as an overwing exit in that nothing can be left on the floor in front of you apart from that there is no other difference from a normal row.
