Well done and glad all back safely.:D:D

Just for interest, how long is the Sqn deployment to Kandahar. Is it 3 months like it used to be on the old Gulf ops or has it gone up to 6 months?

Congrats! Glad everyone came out safely.

Does anyone know who's taking their place out there?

SRENNAPS,

Just over 3 months. Any longer than this and you risk skill fade, because most crews will not actually employ weapons during that time, and the in-theatre training opportunities are minimal. However I wouldn't put it past our leadership to extend it to 6 months "because that's what the Army do". We try to get crews back to the UK for a simulator ride at some point, but the capacity of the airbridge often prevents that. Ultimately, sim currency becomes the limfac.
