Hello,

What are the requirements/restrictions on operating an aircraft that is stage 2compliant in Australia?

Cheers

I think you'll find that Stage 3 is the very minimum. Perhaps with a concession if you're lucky?

G'day ;)

OCTA,
What Feather #3 is saying is --- forget it.

See recent policy statements by the Minister, barring a list of Stage 3 aircraft that are decreed "marginally Stage 3 compliant", such as hush-kitted B727/707 of various models, DC-9, and up to and including, if I remember correctly, early model JT-9 powered B747-100.

Also listed were a number of eastern bloc aircraft, including a couple of turbo-props.

No Stage 2 and 'marginal Stage 3' also a goner.

Thanks for the info.

The aircraft in question can have stage 3 hush kits fitted is it likely that stage 3 will be stopped operating in the near future?

OCTA,
Read the Minister's press release, and talk to the noise mob at the Department of Infrastructure, Transport and Few Other Unrelated Things.
They are the ones who make the decisions, so they are the ones to answer your questions.
