Hi. I'd be grateful for feedback on experiences of people who've gained their CPL via the 200hr route. I'm aware of the costs of the flight test though interested in particular in the costs for any formal flight training considered necessary etc. and the time/effort required for the ground exams (I already have the JAA theoretical knowledge, though without a JAA CPL I assume I'd have to do all the exams from scratch rather than just the Air Law exam). Hope this makes sense - I want a CASA and JAA CPL and I'm trying to work out if it makes sense to get the CASA CPL first. Thanks.

Surely there must be people who get a bare CPL? You don't all go down the sausage factory route do you?

1/. Is English your first language? If not, you will need to do IELTS or some other internationally-recognised test of your English language proficiency.

2/. How many hours do you have? What types?

3/. What is your nationality?

I think I would want more info before I would make any comments, let alone give you any advice - PM me.

Cheers
