Absolutely superb video. Thank you.

Me and Mrs Srennaps were camping at RIAT 2010 for the weekend. When we arrived on the Friday afternoon the F16 did its practice flight with a hard sweeping turn approx 200 foot, in full burner, right above our motor home. The noise was deafening and I was in heaven. I looked over at Linda and her jaw was on the floor. What a great start to a great weekend.

Here are a couple of pics I managed to get during the Sat display:

Apologies if the link don’t work but I have not done this before and I cant work out how to attach photos without a link.

Not required. He dialled in the correct Pressure Setting on his Altimeter before the display. It's just something those zany Dutch pilots do.

He had a good recovery at the yeovilton practice a month back :ooh:

Think it gives the viewer a different dimension as to the art of display flying.. and for us very priveleged to be chosen - helps put our show on the map!

Any news on the runway issue at Abingdon Neil?

Nice vid BTW. I was in Abingdon when he was doing his practice - can't see myself on the vid though.

DE Report suggested apart from the ends of the main runway with precaution (which we imply & put out of use due to light surface break up)with useable length still just under 6000ft, and a good FOD sweep (again we always action) there was nothing to suggest a total ban on fix wing aircraft for 2010 !! We only knew after obtaining the report via the FOI act some 5 weeks after the event took place!!
Looked silly having fixed wingers operating prior and after the show this year!

Yep i was told Hitec suitably blasted out parts of the area to much applause. the regular Merlin / Puma / Vigilant users of the airfield have no worries now regarding noise issues :ok:
Mind you the Jag solo in 05 also drowned out Boars Hill.

We hope to have a near enough full show in 2011.
