To permit Pizza delivery.

Just curious as to what plot of land is suitable, or are sea planes coming back.

Why not put an airport in the Falkland Islands too.

Interesting news.
I am really curious abut where on the island they are going to build it. Having spent several weeks there, I can’t imagine where they will find enough level ground to build a runway long enough for aircraft with that range.
Great for the residents, but I feel a little sad about it – I really enjoyed it's unspoilt nature and their antique way of life.
