I've looked everywhere in the AIP and I can't seem to find a reference to what I am looking for. The call in regard to a IFR clearance call to ACD, referring to the IFG by the aviation theory centre.

Now in the examples it goes like this;

Departing Class C.... 'Callsign request clearance'

Departing Class C SID.... 'Callsign to destination request clearance'

Departing Class D.... 'Callsign IFR for destination request clearance'

Is there any reason for a slightly different call?

Also if anyone from ATC is out there could you please explain why it is not a requirement to say the name of the SID on departure when in other countries it is? (yeah I know it states not to in the AIP but why). I have noticed a large amount of traffic going out of brissy that also give the SID on departure call.

Cheerz

You really need to get to know the AIP yourself. IFG's can be good but they seem to go out of fashion quite quickly.

It's the same call in class C or D

refer:
AIP GEN 5.14.2 Starting and Initial Clearance Issue

When clearance delivery is in operation.
a.* (flight number, if any) TO (aerodrome of first intended landing) REQUEST CLEARANCE

if runway other than runway nominated is required.
b.* REQUIRE RUNWAY (number)
