New CDS

General Sir David Richards has been appointed the next CDS as of August. The BBC has already had a pop at Jock Stirrup (blaming him for equipment shortages). Any views on Sir Jocks tenure and/or predictions about the new boss?

He strikes me as a safe pair of hands at a time where that is a much needed requirement.
