earlier this year i completed my fir grade 3 rating at a flying school in Bankstown. I wont give its exact name but for those familiar with bankstown it's initials are SFC.
Since then I have talked to numerous other recent graduates, most of who are telling me that the general manager of the club makes promises to give you a job after the course is finished to prevent you going to another school.
Not one person has been given a job at the end of the course!
I have been to numerous schools in banktown and camden now and all ask me the same question, "why is SFC not employing you", we employ our own! They think I am no good because SFC won't employ me.
I think it stinks that the general manager of SFC can make claims to get students in, knowing he will not employ them at the end. I now know of 3 other people he told this to this year.
I put this thread on to let others know so they can choose wisely if going for their FIR rating in Sydney.
