hello guys,
this might not be in its place,,but you guys are the experienced ones who can answer me..
I have an FAA CPL-Multi Engine with ATPL frozen
I have done my multi training on both Piper Seminole PA-44 and Diamond Twin Star DA-42

I would like to know if
-I MUST fly 8 hours in a school in Fujairah on the DA-42 again as they say or no.

-or can i study the Air Law exam on my own and when i get a contract i go do it and thats all i need.

and aside from that, considering my licenses what is to be done to do the conversion
(ex: Air law exam+flight test,etc)

Thank you so much for you help.

To my knowledge you can only apply for a GCAA CPL thru an operator.
The procedure has just changed, takes quite long now:
First you need a residence visa (your employer will get that for you)
Once you got that you can apply to sit the airlaw exam. Airlaw examination dates are irregular, usually 3 to 4 times a month. If you apply for the exam less then 10 days before the examination date you have to apply via fasttrack (200 AED extra).
7 to 10 days after the exam you should get the result of the exam and can apply for the GCAA licence, which takes another 10 days fasttrack.
Calculate for the whole process about 30 to 40 days.
Good luck!
