The Swan Inn at Barnby
Last years meeting proved to be extremely convivial and it was great to meet up with former colleagues again. This year we hope you will all come again, bring your partners and persuade others to join us. The reunion is open to ALL those who were, or are part of the aviation scene surrounding Southern North Sea gas exploration and production.
This year we will centre on The Swan Inn at Barnby in Suffolk. The Swan has a national reputation for its seafood and was Seafood Pub of the Year in 2009. The landlord has turned the restaurant over to us and if the numbers warrant it we can have even more of the pub. The Swan Inn may be found on Swan Lane, just off the A146 Norwich to Beccles road at Barnby.
Those of you who are in the area during the afternoon may wish to join up at the Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton. The museum is holding a Battle of Britain commemoration during the afternoon and flypasts by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and other historic aircraft are expected. The museum itself has an enormous collection of aircraft and aviation memorabilia and is well worth a visit.
We are attaching a menu for the evening meal. Please indicate your choices and return it with a cheque for the appropriate amount. We think this offers really outstanding value and the £17 per person includes a gratuity for the staff at the pub and a small amount to cover postage and our other expenses.
Please come and join us and bring your partner. It wont be the same without you.
