does any one know the name of the bank in the UK that gives loans to people to finish the CPL/IR.

You have to have a PPL and have all your ATPL exams done.

I read it on PPRuNe a few months ago but I cant remember the name of the bank.

Many thanks

Yes, that's not a problem, every bank will give you this loan now, secured in property! No security, no loan today!

Have a look at the Career Development Loan. Royal Bank of Scotland do it...or certainly use to. It was 8k maximum that you could borrow on a CDL but that may have changed in recent times. I got one 3 years ago...8k at very low interest rate, with option of deferred repayments for up to 18 months. You need to submit a business plan as well along with the application.

The above post refers, but these are now called ' proffessional career development loans.' Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays both do them and you can now borRow a max of £10,000 (it was £8,000 before)...hope this helps?

IT CAN TAKE 3 MONTHS TO BE APPROVED SO DO APPLY EARLY!!
Jimmy.
