EADS, the parent company of Airbus, and Diamond Aircraft are making demonstration flights this week of first ever aircraft powered entirely by an algae derived biofuel. The small, twin engine Diamond DA42NG is making the flights at the Berlin Air show all week to showcase the new fuel. EADS says the new fuel is not only renewable, but it reduces fuel burn as well as pollutants.
