Hi!I am Muhammad Zailan and I am curious to know whether can a pilot fly if he or she have a flu or headache.I am going to obtain my Student Pilot Licence after I receive my GCE"O" Level results and I love to watch airplanes take-off and landing and piloting too!!.I hope I can achieve my dreams as a pilot.

I am in the exact same position as you, I am in the ATC and before we go flying/gliding we are warned that a simple head cold could cause problems and are advised not to take off. HOwever, i am not a doctor so don't quote me on that. Any way good luck, I hope to see you in the air some time!

Well I certainly wouldn't advise anyone to fly if they have a cold or flu. Specially also if they have blocked ears before flying. Descending from altitude is exceptionally painful and in some cases can even cause permanent damage. Books relating to Human Performance & Factors certainly urge against flying if suffering from any of these symptoms.
