Hey guys,

I would really apreciate it if you could give me some advice.

I am just dieing to be a proffesional pilot. The only thing is I have a very very slight hearing loss in one ear. Just with high frequencys. I can't really notice it unless I really try to tell the difference.

My question is: Do you have to have perfect hearing to get a corporate or charter job?

I passed my second class medical with ease!

My other ear is fine, no problems at all.

Thanks for the help!!!

The following is the link to JAR Class 1 Hearing Requirements page. If your hearing loss is within the limits stated, you should not have any problem...

Good luck

You should go and ask your Class 2 Doctor, as he/she will certainly do class 1 medicals as well.

Hope it is all fine!

No my AME can only do 3rd and 2nd class medicals.

I know what the standards are for the adio test but can someone tell me about or just give me your guess on what can be compared to:

500Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz and 3000Hz

I have searched high and low on the enternet for any kind of a chart of comparison.

What can I relate to each of these frequencys??????

Thanks for your help!!!!
