Anyone know anything about Skyway in Shanghai? I looked but only found their website with a google translation which makes some sense.

Any first hand experience anyone?

(Before those who know my secret identity:E start, this enquiry is for a friend - honest)

Their helicopter work is owned and operated by Aeropower from Australia flying under Skyways AOC doing power line work.
Aeropower sent one of their MD 500E helicopters (VH- SUV) up there to do all types of power line work last year. They hope to send more.
They use Aeropower pilots with a Skyway China fixed-wing pilot to translate and talk to the ATC and chinese linesmen for the line work.
Month on Month off contract.
In January I was in Rockhampton with one of our senior linesman training up 3 chinese liney's to do platform work up in China.
They are the first chinese aerial linesman ever. They went real good didn't need a translator in the end, good linesmen.

I know the owners of the company. Good people with passion for aviation. Not easy as they mortgaged their houses to start up the company.

Cheers, Jane
