Anyone know his whereabouts? Flew with Joe Lestrange in the 1980s. Thanks!
:) Flew out of Lincolnshire. We met him when he and the crew came to US (Carswell AFB) for an airshow.

Dear Jane,
I found your message on this site and I am the Patrick Wareham that flew with Joe Le Strange on the Vulcan display all those years ago. I am now living in Germany and would like to hear from you.
Patrick.
Is Joe Lestrange still about ? You and the crew gave the best Vulcan displays ever showing off the aircraft . Is it possible to publish a copy of the display routine ?

In those days, there were no digital cameras. I do not recall ever recording the display, except on the station VHS video which was probably large and expensive. Recordings were just not part of every day life in the 80's. As for Joe my captain, on those flights, I have no idea where he is these days. Perhaps enjoying a well deserved retirement somewhere in Lincolnshire.

Hi Patrick.
I stumbled across your messages on the forum from Feb when you said you didn't know where Joe was these days.
He is indeed retired here in Lincolnshire, I recently bought a print of the Vulcan i'm told he use to display flying above Lincoln Cathedral. The gentleman selling it knew Joe and he very kindly autographed the print prior to me getting it framed.
Best wishes.
