Hi All,

The Bell 206L family have fuel tanks such that the longitudinal CG of the fuel moves as the fuel is exhausted.

For the 206L and 206L-1, there is a table in the FM that shows the fuel CG for various fuel loads. However for the 206L-3 and 206L-4, the FM does not contain that table.

Does anyone have, and can post or send me the fuel loading tables for the 206L-3 and 206L-4? They may be in the MD manual?

Thanks.

I have an L-1, and I know the diagram you are referring to. I may have in my pilot training notes a diagram for L-3, I believe the system for L-3 and L-4 is different in that it ensures fuel is drawn from all tanks evenly, i.e. unlike the L-1 which initially draws fuel from main tank ( this initially will be the same L-3, 4 ), what then happens with L-1 is it empties the front 2 tanks, then reverts to drawing remaining fuel from main tank. The later L-3 /4 system drains fuel from all 3 tanks once below a set level. I think you will find some L-3's with the earlier L-1 system. My training manuals are at the office, I'm away for a few days but will check, if someone else hasn't updated post by then.

Its puzzling, isnt it, that the FM for the 206L-3 and 206L-4 does not actually have enough info to compute the CofG considering the fuel load.
What is Bell's game with that?

PM me for an Excel spreadsheet that will calculate the moment arms for the 206 (or at least give you the method) with the fuel changes.

Thanks to helpful folk, I now have the fuel loading table for the 206L-4.

Can anyone send me the fuel loading table for the 206L-3 (only need the USgal version). Or at least confirm that the fuel loading volume/arms are the same as for the L4?

Thanks.
