Is anyone out there willing to let us know exactly what type of Class 1 medical certificates the CAA is issuing to those previously outside the -3/+3 dioptre eyesight limit but within the new -5/+5 limit? Are these medical certificates restricted or endorsed in any way? Are they full JAA medical certificates or CAA/UK certificates?

They are proper class 1 medicals. No strings as far as I know, they have simply applied the renewal limit to initial.

hi !

I think it must be a CAA approved class one and not a JAA approved decison as the JAA need to agree all together to implement the regulations ...

so it must not be valid in other JAA countries

AM I right ?

bye

Just received mine through the post after the new limits were applied, and it definitely says JAR/JAA CLASS 1 Medical on the front, and has no endorsements / restrictions inside, if that means anything.

I never thought I'd see the day when I had one of these in my hand!
