guys just been diagnosed as diabetic.anybody familiar with the casa regs etc regarding my situation.i am just beginning to research this funny "disease" and anything will be appreciated.

If you seriously want to look into aviation medicine then take a look at USAF FLIGHT SURGEON'S GUIDE available online at http://www.brooks.af.mil/master.html
I see you are from downunder so how about joining the aeromedical mailinglist at http://www.ozemail.com.au/~dxw/aeromed-list.html .
The natives on that list are mostly pros but are known to answer in plain language if approached politely.
