I am considering renting a NVFR or IFR light single aircraft at Gold Coast or Archerfield for about 20 hours night flying in July/August.

Any suggestions?

Have you considered Redcliffe Aero Club? Prices are usually quite competitive - particularly for club members.

And depends whether its just for the night time or you actually want to go somewhere, there is some C152's that were night rated around the traps, but obviously not the best for a jaunt further than 100nm! :)

FlightOne at AF usually have 172/182 they use for IFR training.

Get yourself into a cirrus at Sunland Aviation. Nicest single for night/if work.:ok:

Thanks a lot, and yes Redcliffe is an option.
