I am enquiring what will happen if i am pensioned off from my present employment (which is extremely physically demanding) and the chance of retaining my class1 medical.I have an injury to my left leg that is O.K day to day but is agrovated by very physically demanding exercise.I am currently flying and have no problem's what so ever and hold a valid Class 1 medical. I was just wondering if any of the more well informed amongst us could try and give me an insight into the views that the CAA have and how i broach the subject with the AME at my next renewal.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

NO! Tell the AME nothing. Answer his questions, and never, ever forget that however friendly he is, he represents the system. The system is not your friend and its concerns are not the concerns of the individual. The system has its own procedures for evaluating whether you are fit to fly or not. If these procedures do not identify a problem, then there is no problem. That is how the system works.
