The Sherry Frontenac. It's an art deco style Miami beach hotel right on the beach.

They cater almost exclusively to airline crews. They have a great location and are very airline crew friendly.

Beer in the soft drink machine near the pool.

i don't know what the rate is but it is my company's long hotel for Miami overnights and my company is really cheap.

Depends on what you mean by “nice”. We used to stay at the Sherry Frontenac. The location is good, the people friendly, the pool is better than average but I would hardly consider the place “nice”.

To me the Sherry looks like it has had little maintenance over the years. I suspect there are many places in the hotel that are no longer in use-abandoned. I have walked around the place and you don’t have to get too far out of the straight line from the beer machine to the pool/beach and it is very clear that the place has had little to no upkeep. The rooms are ancient as is everything in them. Only the bathrooms have been remodeled in the last 20+ years.

The workout facilities are nice. The hotel is right on the beach. It all depends on what you are looking for. There are “nice” things about the Sherry, but this is not a 5 star place.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check it out. It's only for a couple of days, and I'm not planning on spending a lot of time in the hotel. Just a place to sleep :ok:
