Hey there...
At the minute I am Studying for GCSEs and i am looking forward to a career in aviation.
i have started Flying at my local club...i have 5 hours 35 minutes logged.

When it comes to my first solo, i know i need to have an up to date class 2 medical and then for commercial flying.. you need an initial Class 1 medical, at Gatwick. there on in its about £150-300 for updating it.

I know that but i don’t know what is needed for both medicals.

Could someone please Email me with the info on Class one and two ?
Any info is appreciated
Thanks

Basically - all you need is a Class 2 Medical. You can get them done locally, and they cost between £70-£150. You need an ECG and a blood test as it is your first medical. The medical itself lasts for 5 years, and the ECG lasts until you are about 40. On the site linked above, you can search for your nearest examiner...Wouldn't worry about Class 1 for the time being, it's about £400 initially, and its for commercial pilots.

Best of luck with the solo, don't look at your arm when they take the blood test :) <img src="eek.gif" border="0">
