I will need to take my medical sometime in the near future.
They take blood and urine samples....what exactly are they looking for??

Blood in your urine, and urine in your blood.
Also (depending on who is doing the check), diabetes, liver function, cholestorol(spelling?), drug use, HB numbers, HIV...the list is endless. Check on the web for JAA or whoever for individual requirments, they are all there.

Anywhere between 1 week and 7 weeks!!!

Had my 1st class initial yesterday
and they told me there is a 2 week wait at the moment. Although I had to wait 5 weeks for an appointment from phoning them up.
