I am wondering if anyone can give me any info' about learning to fly and Diabetes. I contacted the CAA who said that there was absolutely no chance of me obtaining a license in spite of the fact that my control is excellent and my eyesite, perfect.
It would appear that my only option is the co-pilots' course but I am not entirely happy with this. Are other organisations or other countries quite this "short-sighted"?
Any info' would gratefully received!

Just been through it all myself. See my latest post today...Diabetes & CAA

The answer is it depends upon the method of control. If you are on insulin or your health would be at question if you didn't take medication then you are in a high risk group and unlikely to get a medical.

If hoowever, your diabetes is diet controlled, there is a chance.
