<250 KTS below 10 000' - Ref

Hi,

I was hoping someone could provide me with a ref for the <250 KIAS
below 10 000' from the AIP.

I have searched and searched (even using the word search function on the Air Services web site) with no joy.

Any help appreciated.

ENR 1.4-8,9 has a table of airspace requirements which include the speed limit of < 250 kts below 10k.

Edit: ENR 1.1-106 80.1 also has the speeds for each class of airspace.

While we are on references can some one please find the reference that the minimum rate of climb and descent in CTA is 500fpm?

I'm aware of the "standard rate" in CTA but that is only directed if specified in a clearance. I'm talking just on a normal descent before being cleared a visual approach in CTA is there a minimum rate of climb and descent?

No specific requirement exists that mandates a set rate of descent. I understand it would be up to the pilot in command.

This is other than when ATC specify a "STANDARD RATE" clearance for procedural separation for a step climb or descent (having the at or greater than 500ft per minute requirements that you refer to)
