Hi guys and gals,

Just wondering what everyones fav QF port is and why?

Shopping, bars, weather, airport, flying time, etc? What makes it a good slip port?

Penfolds Grandfather. It's smooth, refined and is an excellent slip port when you get in late in the evening.

That said, one of our 744 Captains has a place called Windsor's Edge Winery (Windsor's Edge - Wine, Dine and Stay in the Hunter Valley (http://www.windsorsedge.com.au)) and his port is pretty bloody good too. I'd probably drink that over the Grandfather's if I could get it around the network! :ok: :}

Yeah, my favourite is Saltrams' Mr Pickwick - full of flavour with a smooth finish.

Without a dobut...Perth....the jewel of the west. Such an exotic location. Great cafe's and restaurants and very reasonable prices. Great shopping, especially on the weekend and I really enjoy those early sunsets in summer. The crew hotel is fantastic with a great bar (the moonbar) and very cheap room service prices ($7.50 for a 250ml bottle of coke or $10 for a bottle of water is completely reasonable I think).

Ahh Perth, what a great place.

I love Perth as well, particularly the 100+ it tailwinds out of the place.

I really like the east coast, happy any where over there.

Indamiddle,
Re. Frankfurt, at my favorite bar I can even get Coopers Sparkling, and it's cheaper than in the local in Sydney --- just the stuff to wash down a knuckle. Of course, if you have a medical problem, Herr Doktor Flotta's always got a commendable array of cures on draught.
