My eyes are both -3.25 and I hold a class one medical certificate. Is this likely to put me out of contention for an airline job as I know that airlines have stricter criteria than the standard class one medical. Has anyone had an airline medical and been turned down on this basis, despite holding a Class one Medical Certificate? Also, with the proposed ICAO changes (no diopter limits, just 6/6 in each eye), do you think this will have any influence on the eyesight requirements for the airlines?
