I'm due to undergo a class 1 initial at Gatwick at the end of the month. Last week my back decided it had had enough of trying to support the rest of me and went twang, and now I'm visiting a chiropractor twice a week to sort it out. By the end of the month it should (hopefully) be back to normal.

Question: is this likely to cause me heartache and pain in trying to get a class 1 certificate from the sticky fingers of the CAA?

only help i can give you is tell you what i had to do yesterday for mine.

stand straight:
1) try and touch your toes
2) keeping your back straight slide your arm down the side of your leg and repeat with the other side i.e. lean to one side.
3) tilt head forward and back then side to side.
4) arms by your side then move them above your head.
5) twist upper body to one side and then turn head further round to try and look behind you.

I've got no idea what the limits are though.

Couldn't have done most of that last week but can this week so shouldn't have any problems by the end of the month. Let's hope that's as physical an examination of my spine as it gets.

Much obliged, wobblyprop.
