View Full Version : Where in New York/Las Vegas can I get a FAA Class 1 Medical?

I am off to the states next week and since I can't get a class 1 here(colour problem)I would like to have a medical in U.S.A.
Either New York area or Vegas area.
Help would be appreciated.Is there a web site??

I go to this guy. It is a short trip from Vegas to Irvine California. This Doctor is a student pilot and he is also colour deficent. He is very understanding and he has a titmus vision tester which is easier to pass than the ishihara plates but is accepted by the FAA for the issue of an unwaivered first class medical. It is well worth a go I passed it and got my SODA replaced by a letter of competency which states that I meet the standards for an unwaivered medical. No such luck with the idiots in Europe though.

Thanks for the info.I'm off on Tue and will try for the class one.As you say the people over here are intransigent and will not budge.We need a Dr.Pape over here to take them to task.
