Lovely sight and sound flying a race track pattern west of Podington to Thurleigh area at about 1,500 feet after midday for about 20 minutes. Any info please ?

Stop - before you know where we are you'll have BEagle reminiscing about his time on them, and then we'll get a picture of his pin-up girl, and then VVCA will ..., and then PPrune will crash.

Yep, I saw it. Quite distant and low on the horizon, but saw his aerobatics. Very nice!

Did Beagle fly Hunters?

Yes (http://www.pprune.org/military-aircrew/317100-hunter-xl573-post3965481.html?highlight=hunter#post3965481) and yes (http://www.pprune.org/military-aircrew/372972-mod-approved-action-toys-post4919039.html?highlight=hunter#post4919039)

There are 4 ex Swiss Mk58's owned by HHA flying on QinetiQ and FRA(?) contracts. Ya just can't keep a good cab down, eh?

AA.

Instead of just talking of BEagles pin up, we could just 'cut out the middle man' and do it ourselves!

Besides, this one has more impact than the Battle of Britain one normally shown on here:ok:

Oh, which is often followed by a picture of this lovely lady too.

Possibly one of the F.58s which was definitely up from Yeovilton at lunchtime today.

You are so right that you can't keep a good cab down, however your info is a little out of in that the contract with FRA finished some time ago. The flight in the Bedford area was a trial support flight for a customer which was very successful with the aircraft (Hunter Mk58 ZZ191) returning serviceable to Yeovilton.

Got flown over, at VL, yesterday by one. Might have been en-route?

That's good news. Will this mean we'll get the chance to see more flights in the future? :D

HHAEng ,
Thanks for the information. It was the engine note that made me look up(and rush to the window, are all aviation people so affected ?) and see a rare machine these days. I looked up in my Hunter books(signed by Bill Bedford) ZZ191 and as J-4058 Swiss AF it first flew on 25.6.59 by Don Lucey. Not bad for a nearly 51 year old aircraft.

Thanks, barnstormer1968, I must have missed this thread at the time as I was over in the US at a conference.

Great piccy of SY - and it seems the Cranwell bromine is at last wearing off....:ooh:
