Istanbul

Anybody know what the procdure is when changing terminals at Istanbul? I'm arriving 0430 in the morning, and leaving from the domestic terminal for Ankara at 0620 - both flights Turkish Airlines. Do you clear customs at Istanbul and then they transfer the bags automatically, or what?

Don't worry about your luggage, it's checked all the way through to Ankara... Once you've deplaned you need to go through the passport control and follow the "domestic terminal" signs. No shuttles, it's about 15 minutes' walk... It's technically a different building but you never go outside, there's some kind of a glass-made-of bridge that connects the two terminals... Once you're in the domestic terminal all you need to do is just board your Ankara plane when the time comes up!

Thanks, tweezers. Last time I went to Istanbul was 1993, and I didn't go any further into Turkey. I do remember a restaurant with a cabaret: the belly dancer came from Manchester!
