DJ has an ad for Manager, Flight Operations Support.
I would appreciate any information on this position beyond what is in the ad. Is it new or, if not, who is/was the incumbent ? Any information on the tenor of the working group would be helpful.

You have a good chance. When they advertise the position internally only, it means they have a 'mate' on the inside who they have hand picked. When they advertise the role externally , it means they are going to shaft those already working there, and take on an outsider. Same pattern they have used for a decade.
Any information on the tenor of the working group would be helpful.
If you are prepared to 'tongue sphincter', be walked over,and happy to be underpaid then this is the job for you !
