I held a CAA class 1 in 1993 following my application to become an ATCO. I turned down the job (more's the pity) but now I am looking to start instructing and thus need a class one again.
Does anybody know if I have to go for a JAR initial class 1 examination, or is there a way to somehow 'renew' the certificate I had all those years ago?? If there is, it may be cheaper/easier to go to an AME as opposed to Gatwick.
This is a tough one and I have been having the usual problems getting through to the CAA by telephone and having e-mails un-returned.
