I have been told that the qualifying period to leave the company with 100% of contributions has been increased from 7 to 10 years.

I don't have intranet access, and this is the rumour network, can anyone confirm or (hopefully) deny please?

Maybe the person you heard it off was getting confused with the 10 years before the Company increases its contribution from 12-15%. Just a thought.

These idiots would try that thinking it would make us stay that extra few years, because alot of people are looking elsewhere and will be leaving if the pay freeze continues after April. Since i got here 3 years ago they haven't stopped F@@king with the terms and conditions not for the better either. I had a good job and some mornings i wonder what was i thinking ....:ugh:

Does anyone know. If you put your letter of resignation in prior to your 5/7years, however you leave the company after the 3mth notice which is then in the 5/7th year, does the company recognize the date you leave the company for provident pay out, or the date on the letter? I wouldn't put it past them to use the date on the letter. :=

Does the "Provident Fund" fall out of the scope of the Labor Law mandated gratuity? Am guessing thats the case. From my perspective EK offers
Provident Fund
Regular run of the mill gratuity, as prescribed by the UAE labour lawCopy of the labor law is available here -> http://www.zu.ac.ae/library/html/UAEInfo/documents/UAELabourLaw.pdf ( Jump to page 21 for the meat )
Does this imply that EK has two exit payouts ?
Or am I assuming that they abide by contracts and lawsAdditional Links/reading material
