Easier Training, 330 plus possible ccq to 350/280 in future.
Harder Training 777 , but better destinations and possible more money.
Is the A340 an option or only for locals

How about staying on the 320 for another year ang get your command? Go anywhere else, and this gets further away from you. Just a thought...
Cheers!

6 months ago i would have said yes to that as well but now its a right to left seat upgrade on 330/777 so wahtas the point in staying on the 320.

MD83FO.
Nobody can decide for you...!
-It all depends what you like...sitting in a tube for 15 hours: go for 777..or keep flying go for the 320...in between you have the 330.
-Now IF you need money:it´s not a secret: 320 has probably the WORSE salary/duty perfomed ratio!

When the time comes, do we get an option, or is it luck of the draw

A330 is a better machine from a technical stand point and also more choices for future endeavors, unless you plan to stay in Qatar forever.
the B777 maybe enjoyable to fly, but the fact remains it's a antiquated machine with very limited level of technology in comparison to the enhanced A330's that QA operates.

They both have benefits and draw backs. in the end it's just a pay check no matter what you operate.
The B777 has a light schedule compared to the rest of the fleets, but it's still a new addition. It will NOT stay that way. Unless you have your life and family in Doha, what is the use of only working 4 to 5 flights per month if you only have a maximum of 3 days OFF in a row and can't really leave.

If your life is established in Doha, then it's not so bad really.
easy work for the money:E

I'd take the 777 over the A330 ANY DAY... Now, when the A350s arrive I might have to reconsider...

Without any intent for polemique or anything like that. It’s very easy to explain. It’s a different technology. Unlike Airbus, Boeing lets the pilot be a pilot. :E

Whats the point if Boeing lets the pilot be a pilot when you only do 3...4.. take off and landing/month...:E

Would you make like to make love to someone with long legs, big jugs and a slim body, then go for B777. Or if you prefer not having anything between the legs then Airbus operation/procedure is an option. In the old days we used to call them the Laura Ashley fleet.I hear Airbus guys wear white gloves and ling@rie underneath the uniform and have feminine last names like kelly or silly.
Just havin fun guys.:E
If it a'int boeing i'm not going.

Hi guys,

well it's absolutely no worth to compare boeing vs airbus but to resume like told me an examiner qualified on both :

"Airbus you operate"

"Boeing you fly"

Both are very nice airplanes after saying that on each his own.

Bye :ok:

AVIATOR, your problem is to be destitute of knowledge or education. I could say with a lack of schooling and intelligence. “AVIATOR MEN” or "BUTCH AVIATOR" do you know who was NED KELLY? I guess you don’t. Have fun at school! :E
