Class 1 Medical

I'm new to aviation and have just commenced PPL training.

I want to apply for some of the sponsored schemes and thought it would be best to
a) make sure I can get a Class 1 medical and
b) show some commitment by getting it prior to applying

I don't know if this will be viewed more favourably???

Anyone any ideas on how long you have to wait usually before being summoned to Gatwick? Are we talking days or months?

It's days to weeks, not months for Gatwick.. remember you are the customer! You'll get some questionnaires to fill in etc before you actually attend but just call them and get a suitable date. It takes 3 hours ish!
