TATA, it may help if you brush up on your general spelling and grammatical use of the English (ICAO) language. Just about every second word in your post has a spelling mistake and is easily the worst I have ever seen.

Your post should read:

QR Second Officer interviews

Hello,
I have a Second Officer interview with Qatar on the 31st March. I have heard that the examination process had recently changed. Could anybody offer me some advice on the type of questions in the written exams?

Kind regards

With that attitude I'm sure the interview will be really easy for you.:ugh: For the record I don't think White Knight would really be interested in a Second Officer position at QR and he is right about your grammar and spelling.

:}My sudaneese brother, you dont have a job with Qatar airways yet. I think the odds are higher of you not making it through the interview than some one with a job getting laid off from EK..

Do you seriously think that some one is gonna send you the questions that are going to be asked for the "wrotten exams".. I dont think you can get into Qatar airways by trading Goats either,unlike in sudan.:}

Hello Every body.....
I think that this Thread is really going out of control.....
Apart from complaining others i think people has to learn what to expose in what?????
No one is better then any one....
Every one has to keep it mind and i hope by god's grace every one will be in good position soon or will be in for ever....
Because we never know what happens tomorrow.....
It will be good if people just discuss about the topics given....
Thanks....

@ cadet_hani,

Sorry to say this mate as far as i know i think you need both ( Froz ATPL (ICAO) , ICAO level 4 English proficiency exam res).....
Any further info will be appreciated thanks.......

Hi guys,

I got called for an interview for the position of s/o as well. I thought it was going to be only a technical exam but apparently they have an english, maths, physics, technical, aptitude and psycho test. Sounds like it's going to be a long day.

Well I am not here to ask what questions are going to be in the exams, but does anyone have the slightest idea of what they are going to ask for the physics and maths part? Do you think they would ask stuff like integration and differentiation? And how about the physics part? Strangely, I am quite comfortable with the technical, only worried about the maths and physics part...

Also, are they going to ask performance A or B? Hope to get some answers that would help unlike getting beaten to the ground like TATA. Guys yes we know TATA is having a slight prob with the language but I think we should help the poor guy...

i got called in for an interview and may. i live in canada and have just finished my CPL, ME/IR with a little over 200 hours. I don't have a frozen ATPL though because it's not available in Canada until you reach 1500 hours.

Hi

I have an ATPL with 2500hours, of which 1000hours is F/O on a regional jet.

I would appreciate some constructive information on what my chances for an interview would look like?

Is recruitment at Qatar Airways ongoing?

Thank you

I got a No from them, F(ATPL) holder aith A320 TR and time on type. Not sure what they are looking for. I just filled out the Flight deck crew application form on the website and stated I was applying for Second officer. They got back to me quite quickly.:{

Hey SW1, maybe qatar airways is not looking for rated guys. Just for your information wataniya airways in kuwait is looking for guys and time on type would help . Minimums are 1000TT with 500 Jet. Its posted on the AvCanada website.

Half-pint... Does you regional jet you were flying have EFIS? If so, if you have more than 500 hours on the EFIS a/c, you should apply as a first officer, not s/o.

SW1, how much total time do you have? again, i think you should have applied as f/o as well.

Coz if you are more than 28 years old, and apply as s/o (irrespective of how many hours you have) they will say no coz thats the age limit for s/o. If you got 2000TT and you got 500 EFIS hours, you can apply as an f/o. If you don't meet any of the criteria above, then your application will go into the bin...

Hope this info helps..

Yes, it is an Embraer ERJ...

With regards to S/O-F/O, is it that crucial which I one I put on the application? I applied for S/O, figured that as many pilots with more experience than me get into large Airlines (SAA,CX etc) as Second Officers...

Age-wise, I am mid twenties...

Thanks for the comments, please, any more information is appreciated!

Hey Half-Pint,

If you are in your mid twenties, you should have no problem getting in as a S/O. What my advice would be is to e-mail HR or Flight Deck department and check with them. I do not want to give you "best guess" answers. But note that you will be bonded for 4 yrs coz you do not have an airbus type rating. PM me if you want any other info...

Make that 5 years after your FINAL line check!!
