Hi Chaps

Anyone know where you can do a FI (H) course on a Schweizer 300cbi ASAP in the UK (preferably) but abroad also considered.

Cheers in advance

Maybe Fast Helicopters, or Helicopter Services.

Helicentre Liverpool (http://www.helicentreliverpool.com) were really helpful when I talked to them about this last year

I see 300CBI sales are up 50% on this time last year on Sikorsky site, and Cabair have recently purchased 2. Could we be seeing a potential break in the Robbie strangle hold in terms of most commonly used flight training aircraft over the next few years.

As I see it, thats the only way it can happen. They are no longer making R22's (Only rebuilding them). When an airframe is destroyed or retired there is not going to be a replacement. Wont be too long before people have to look at another trainer due to a worldwide shortage of R22's. Should start to see a lot more 300's and Enstroms in the training scene.

Are you sure they are no longer making R22s ?

I know there were rumours years ago that Frank wanted to stop but I can't find anything on the web that says they have stopped.

The price list from Jan 2010 doesn't mention anything about being rebuilt.

Just interested to see if its true, not saying it isn't.

R22s are still being made.

I am surprised that Cabair have bought two 300s. They sold their new(ish) 300s a year or so ago, as they spent more time in maintenance than in the air.

May I ask why it has to be a CBi and not a CB or C?

Chanches of getting one of the latter are higher. Not?

There a quite a few CBis in the UK compared to older stock knocking around Europe
