Hi all,
I have scanned a copy of "Pilots' Airplane Manual, Civil Aeronautics Bulletin No. 27, Sept 1940". I picked up a high quality copy in a used bookstore and scanned it into PDF form. It caught my eye because I was working on my PPL and was struck by the detail surrounding aeronautic engineering included in a book written for the common pilot.
Anyway, I think it's a great thing to make generally available. There don't seem to be any copies floating around the internet yet. I'm looking for suggestions on where to put it; I don't know the aviation corners of the internet myself... Anyone have any ideas?
For those concerned about copyright, I'll double check my facts before releasing it but I think in this case, as a government document printed for general release, it's not an issue. The book itself certainly does not have any assertion of copyright or forbidding of reproduction within it.
