Request for advice on which hotel at Jumeirah Beach?

Hi,

I´m stopping for 2 nights in Dubai and not sure whether to stay at the Royal Meridien Jumeirah beach or the new Sofitel? Anyone been to either or got any advice please? Meridien bit more but both give good aircrew rate.
