Can anyone recommend a modern Bed and Breakfast I could use regularly within driving distance of Manchester Airport? Even a granny-flat to rent?I prefer off street parking and not having to stare at flower-patterned wallpaper or finding other people's hair in the bathroom.:yuk: Yep, I am picky. Premier Inns are about £50 so anything cheaper than that of a similar standard would be good. Rural or around Wilmslow is fine but I really want to avoid the city centre.

You might want to have a look at this:

TATTONDALE FARM B&B, Bed and Breakfast, Farmstay Northwich & Knutsford United Kingdom (http://www.totaltravel.co.uk/travel/north-west/cheshire/knutsford/accommodation/bedbreakfast/tattondale-farm-bb-5571)

Its main advantage is that it is on a country road (and in the country, if that's your bag), which will save you getting stuck in the local traffic.
Know the area, but haven't stayed there. A quick look on Google will give you the general idea.

I spent a year staying at a B&B on the south side of the airport. Lovely, very, very old farm, had a dairy herd at that point. Don't know if they still do B&B, can't find it on line yet, but will keep looking. The nearest village was Styal, and it was a very short walk to Quarry Bank Mill.

Owned by Judy & Alan Gardiner, they were lovely people, and the farmhouse was idyllic. That was in 2000, so they may not still be doing it, but worth looking for incase they are. A quick look at mapquest, I think it was on either Holly Road, Altrincham Road or Holly Lane. Used to take me all of 10 mins to get to the staff carpark :ok:
