Hello everyone,

Could anybody tell me, FAA licensed and certified dispatch can work in gulf with the same license?
How much the trainee dispatcher gets paid monthly and is easy to get hired as fresh dispatcher?

Thank u all!

The FAA license can be transferred to the UAE license after an air law test. But if you are a gardener or cook who just took a $3000-$6000 6 weeks dispatch course for better prospects, your chances of being hired are less than zero.

Dispatchers at Saudia are all Saudi Nationals.

TD_NAS, a foreign dispatcher license is normally converted fairly easily to a national license by your employer. The FAA one is widely recognized.

You may find it helpful to see the requirements which one major airline in the region posted recently. I suspect that other companies would require similar qualifications:

• Higher technical education up to a degree level.
• Computer literate
• Fluency in oral and written English mandatory
• Aviation technical qualifications including a Flight Operations Officer license or Flight Dispatcher license from an approved IATA / FAA / CAA training institution; or 2 year service as flight crew member in air transport operation; or Air Traffic Controller
• Flight Dispatcher Recurrent Training
• Familiarization flight in the cockpit
• Crew Resource Management Training
• Annual Competency Check
• The job holder should have a minimum of 3 years working in a major Airline Operations/Flight Dispatch department.

Good luck!

Unlike in the US, the dispatcher job in the ME is much less glamorous than in the US. You're looking at $4000-$5000US/month including housing allowance.

Thank you all for the precious INFO.

MrMachfivepointfive, My assignment is In-Charge of the Transfer-Desk which I’ve been for almost 3 years now, and yes I’m looking forward to being more professional in our field and get involved in Aircraft operations, however it seems quite tough to get hired as trainee, I may then get back home and work in Egypt!

PositiveRate876, if the salary scale is between 4000-5000$!! and guaranteed, right away I will enroll for it.

Looks good at first but keep in mind it will cost about 2500 $ a month for a small one bedroom flat. If you don't eat much you will need about 500 $ a month. A small car will cost 400 $ a month. Not much left over for fun and incidentals.

Think twice before coming to dubai.

4000-5000USD for a newbie dispatcher??? No way!!

5000 AED if you're lucky!

EK / EY / QR don't hire inexperienced so you're left with the midnight cowboys and the abundant and stingy bizjet outfits...

That school in DXB churns em out faster than McDonalds makes Big Macs so the competition for the few available jobs is tough.

Prices are down now. You might get a small studio apartment for just under US$2000/month now, although it might not be in a nice area.
