Have tried to read regs but can't get my head around whether skydiving ops is or is not classified as private ops??? Any help!?

Yep it's PVT ops but I can't give you a reg reference to say so definitively.
CAR206 describes what contitutes "Aerial Work purposes", "Charter" and "Regular Public Transport".
PJE doesn't fit into any of those categories and so is PVT - that's CASA's viewpoint anyway, despite the incredible amount of $$$ that can change hands from client to Operator (although rarely from operator to pilot it seems :ugh: )
