If anyone is interested in getting some cheap C210 hours under their belt before they head north, PM for more details. It will be under a cost sharing arrangement where it is half the normal rate, must be qualified to fly, i.e minimum PPL with CSU and retract endorsement.
Hopefully someone can grab this opportunity before the moderators shut it down for advertising. :E Or if they can put this advertisement somewhere more approapriate.:D

What if the most experienced pilot is sitting in the back?

"cost sharing arrangement where it is half the normal rate"

So what is the normal rate if I was to private hire the aircraft?

Don't C210A models have struts and are only powered by a IO-470?

Yep. Struts and the extra 10 degree of flap went on the 210G model,

Normal casual rate is $300/hour wet for my C210A if you meet the insurance requirement. Yes it's an early model with struts and an IO470, so what is your point ContactMeKnow? How many planes do you own? I have over a dozen now with 4 of them being 200 series. The latest model being a Turbo 310HP 1981 model TU206G. Don't start knocking someone if you don't own any aircraft yourself or if you own something with a smaller engine. :{ I don't know you from a bar of soap, but I bet mine is bigger than yours. ;)
If the most experienced is in the back then obviously he can't fly it, can he now. :(.
And what is your point Case sensitive? Yes BCY has had a couple of forced landings, at least it didn't get bent. :D

Half the rate for half the hours? I always had the impression the pilots can only legally log the time spent in the left seat. Split the cost in half (or by three or by four) and you only get half the hours (or a third or a quarter) unless you find someone happy to pay and sit in the back.

If, as you imply, you're renting out your C210 at half the normal rate for full hours, you should be inundated with interested parties.

Dude......life is too short to get that worked up over such a simple statement/observation

Not my understanding, I always fly my aircraft from the right seat, and have a notation in my log book that says I am "endorsed" to do so. I have flown from the right seat for many years including BFR's. never had a problem, by the way, I dont have an instructor rating.

You don't need an endorsement to fly from the right seat, as long as it is a control seat.

If you nominate yourself as the 'pilot-in-command', your seat is irrelevant! You will go down with the ship regardless!

It is a very dangerous area to be involved in. If you hire out your aircraft, stay on the ground!

Not a heli pilot, or, as I said an instructor, and dont quite understand why it is a "dangerous are to be involved in". I know this seems to be a grey area, and I dont know why, so that is the reason for the log book entry.:)
By the way, never hire out my aircraft

Well being someone who has hired people for work on C210's I would put the people that have flown a C210A into the same pile as people who have flown a C182RG.

Its not a case of how many aeroplanes someone owns, or who is bigger than who (by stating you have over 12 aircraft now, I am worried your trying to compensate for something...) IMO, someone who tries to lease out a machine over a forum must be going through some tough times, most "good" machines are hard to get a hold of, either the own has brains and does not lease them out, or they are so fully booked you need 4 week prior notice!

I flew your aircraft once and that was enough. Have flown many a C210 after that, over 2000hrs in them (remote area charter, IFR night ops, blah blah)

What other aircraft do you own? (you seem to brag about your new (20yr old) C206 (sorry TU206G), must be the "biggest" thing you have in your tool shed...

Not my understanding, I always fly my aircraft from the right seat,

That's true, I should've been more clear; either control seat is acceptable provided the pilot if endorsed but the point is that only the pilot flying at the time can log the time. If you're sitting watching from any seat, CASA don't allow it to be logged (I believe).

If they know four pilots cost-share a 210 and all of them log the entire flight, they'll..... well, do whatever it is they do when people fake their logbooks. Which as far as I know is very little. But it's still illegal.
